TestProject will end of life (EOL) on March 31, 2023. 

Since acquiring TestProject in August 2019, Tricentis has made significant investments into the platform and has been pleased to maintain its use free of charge as established by the TestProject founders nearly eight years ago. However, the extensive work required to maintain and update the platform has helped drive the company’s decision to streamline its product offerings and focus resources on Tricentis Testim, a SaaS-based and AI-powered test automation tool for custom web apps. 

When and how does this news impact TestProject users? Beginning November 16, 2022, the creation of new TestProject accounts will be disabled and on March 31, 2023, all previously existing TestProject accounts will be deactivated and access to the platform will be revoked. 

What steps should TestProject users take with their test cases? All test cases must be transitioned to an alternative platform before the March 31, 2023, TestProject EOL using one of the following options: 

1. Export into code (Java, C#, Python)
2. Export into a TestProject YAML format
3. Export as a Test Document (Excel)
4. Connect to GitHub using GitHub integration and sync all tests to repositories (will be synced as YAMLs as well)

For users who have integrated Tricentis qTest and TestProject, the TestProject Test Cases and execution reports will no longer be accessible for editing, viewing or executing after March 31, 2023. qTest test data will be maintained after TestProject has been sunset, including Test Cases, Test Runs, Test Logs, and Test Step Logs.
